A very special message to my friend Tom. Volume 4.
Ah, the power of the pixillation. You’re welcome.
That killer look on my face? That’s me contemplating starting a bike shorts company that offers complimentary, uh, extras with every purchase. Like socks or those paper change rolls (you supply your own quarters). Or a strategically placed pocket for certain kinds of energy bars. I think I’d call my bike shorts company Shorty+, and I’ll market on the interwebs. I’ll use discrete packaging, tho—promise.
(It’s probably a good thing no one bothers to read this blog.)
As many have pointed out, Modern Family must be the funniest show on TV today. Maybe ever. Just sayin’.
Anyhoo—the video above is from a recent episode of the show. (Here’s a backup vid via the YouTubes just in case that one stops working.) And I feel obligated to tell you this: I’m glad I didn’t share with the world last week—as I had intended—about my birthday purchase of some honest-to-goodness bike shorts (not to be confused with my more, erm, modest mountain bike shorts that come complete with an outer nylon shell). I had just flooded the world with plenty of self-deprecation and it wasn’t ready for more.
Now, I believe, the world is ready. And thanks to Modern Family, I think I can do it properly. Stay tuned.
