Weigh-In Wednesday: August-Edition
Hi there. Remember these Weigh-In Wednesday posts? I barely do, so you’d be forgiven if you forgot this was meant to be a weekly thing. Ben once put the truth to one’s and zero’s thusly:
I’m going to let you in on a little-known secret in the weight-loss world. If someone stops talking about their weight—or stops weighing in altogether—it’s never because they’re super excited about all the success they’re having.
Guilty as charged.
(I will hedge a little: it’s not as bad as I thought it would be considering I haven’t made any honest effort to eat well in quite some time. It might have something to do with a fairly active vacation, but it’s anyone’s guess.)
So. On Monday—the day I finally stepped back on the scale after a several week hiatus—I was 210. Definitely a pronounced backslide. But Monday was also the day I started anew and started to cut back (and had to check in with my work-sanctioned health coach). The official Wednesday weigh-in for the books, then, is 206.5.
I have until mid-October before I have to do an official weigh-in at work for our insurance program. I’m using that as a cattle prod to get to 195. I’ll let you know how it goes.
