Another beautiful February Saturday in the desert, another chance to get out on the mountain bikes—this time with my buddy Joe. Average speed on this trip? 3.9 mph. Clearly, I was the anchor1 on this venture. But who cares? We had a blast.
1But if you factor out all the “J needs oxygen—stat!” standing-still time, we had a 7.2 mph average speed.
