With internet access finally online at the house in Moscow, ID, there’s much catching up to do. But first: A huge thank you to the local Safeway, Super 8, and library for allowing me to lurk on your wifi these past weeks. The baristas manning the coffee joint inside the Safeway went through three phases relating to my quest for wifi: 1) curiosity at the new guy sitting at the table with various mobile computing devices, 2) annoyance with the weird guy sitting at the table with various mobile computing devices, and 3) acceptance of the strange guy sitting at the table with various mobile computing devices.

OK, on to other matters. Before I left the south, there was a touching shindig at work to usher me off. Above are two cool photos from that that are worth sharing. I’m proud to say the chocolate (some of it) made it all the way to Moscow. The hobo bag, courtesy of Tom D., was the source of many breakfasts (Clif Bars sure do come in handy). Thanks to all for sending me off in style.

(Speaking of the old job: I’ve turned off the anonymous ask box for a while. I’m happy to listen and respond to valid concerns or issues, but let’s be adult enough to do it through the right channels, sans the silliness of anonymity.)
