Who is J? J is a former whitewater river guide, bike shop mechanic, and kayak rental dude that now finds himself making a living in the desert of Southern Utah as a web developer / designer for a nondescript government agency. He is married and has two adorable children.
…that you had August 19th (as a partial travel day) off from work. You’d already be in the Salt Lake City area. And then let’s suppose that you didn’t have to be back to work, strictly speaking, until August 25th. OK, in reality you prolly have to be around to pick up the family and go home by the 23rd. But let’s use some of this as a given.
I’m thinking out loud here - can you tell?
What would you do? Would you consider, maybe, a semi-last minute guerrilla-style excursion to the ol’ stomping grounds for a river trip? The kind where the grueling 9-12 hour drive is offset by a free guide and gear at cost? Something that looks like this? Something where there are, at most, four or five people that all share costs?
Any takers?
